Corey O’Meara, quantum computing lead at energy firm E.ON, has won the AIconics Quantum Computing Innovator of the Year award at the Quantum Computing Summit.

The award celebrates the pioneering minds in quantum computing who are exploring the practical application of quantum in the workplace.

O’Meara was recognized for his work that has covered various ways quantum computers could help contribute to solutions around managing the future decentralized energy grid. His work showcases results relating to optimization problems that have an emphasis on renewable energy integration.

Richard Davis, chief data officer at Ofcom took home the AI Implementer of the Year Award at the AI Summit London, co-located with the Quantum Computing Summit.

The Implementer of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations who have been instrumental in breakthrough innovation and cutting-edge application of AI in business.

Davis picked up the gong for his work in enabling data and analytics capabilities across the U.K. media regulator.

Davis has given expert advice in international forums on the development of data science products for businesses and establishing analytics and data science functions in large multinational companies

Valerii Babushkin, VP for data science at Blockchain.com took home the Solution Provider of the Year award, which recognizes individuals who have demonstrated passion, skills, and world-class expertise in developing an AI technology or solution.

Babushkin leads a team that created Blockchain's A/B testing platform. With this platform, businesses can set up and run experiments without the need for specialized technical expertise.

Davis and Babushkin join previous winners have been from the likes of EasyJet, Swiss Re, IBM and Truist Financial, among others.
