Oracle Launches Cloud Quantum Enterprise Software Service

QMware, a provider of hybrid quantum computing cloud services, is working with Oracle and Nvidia to test and develop a hybrid quantum computing service for enterprise customers.

The test would use Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) powered by Nvidia A100 Tensor Core GPU clusters, as well as the Nvidia CUDA Quantum open-source hybrid quantum computing platform.

QMware intends for customers to explore new industrial use cases of hybrid quantum computing, including AI, optimization and machine learning.

By combining QMware’s expertise in quantum technology with Oracle’s robust cloud infrastructure, we are scaling up quantum capabilities and simplifying its accessibility for businesses across all sectors.”

Nvidia’s contribution includes CUDA Quantum, which provides scientists with simulation tools and capabilities to program hybrid CPU, GPU, and QPU systems. QMware will also use Nvidia A100 GPUs, which provide accelerated computing for data centers combined with Oracle’s OCI to provide the high-performance classical computing part of the hybrid offering.

According to QMware, this setup provides options for testing and developing commercially valuable quantum computing applications that customers can use in fields such as AI, quantum machine learning and quantum-enhanced optimization.

The companies plan to demonstrate an initial version of the service at Oracle CloudWorld London later this week.
